Calvin Boice

Calvin W. Boice III made a flashy entrance into the world by being born at home on Friday the 13th! His parents were trying to get to the hospital, but Calvin just couldn’t wait to start his life. He was named after his grandfather and great-grandfather when his mom gratefully told his dad, “You can name your son anything you want, since you delivered him!”

Calvin has won several art contests at school and in the community. He runs on the Cross Country team at Carlsbad High School as a Freshman and is a straight A student. He recently earned his Eagle Scout award, and after climbing Mount Whitney, the highest mountain in the continental United States, he earned the 50 Miler Award from the Boy Scouts of America.

In 2004 Calvin earned the Presidential Volunteer Service Award for his service at church, school, and in Scouting, as well as his efforts serving with “Operation Appreciation” for the military and “Supporting Urban Neighborhoods.”
He also received the Hometown USA Award presented by the Keep America Beautiful Foundation. Calvin lives with his family in Carlsbad, California.
