Ronald J. Hammond, Ph.D.
Ronald J. Hammond was born in Atlanta, Georgia. He served in the Switzerland Geneva Mission from1982-1984. He met his wife, Alisa, at Ricks College. They have six children, one daughter-in-law, two dogs, and more than twenty years together.
Ron has taught Education Week classes at BYU-Idaho and at Utah. He has also taught at regional LDS singles conferences in Utah Valley, St. George, and Ogden.
He earned his Ph.D. in Family Studies-Sociology from BYU in 1991. After graduating, Ron taught one year at Case Western Reserve University and is in his 14th year of teaching at Utah Valley State College as a Professor of Sociology.
